First Beach Trip & 4 Month Update

Addison is 4 months old today!  She’s had a lot of development and some fun adventures this past month.  We’ll get you caught up with a series of pictures and videos below.

Addison got to meet Amy, Pat, Wan, Nick, Emilia, & Liam one weekend in July in Downtown Columbia.

And before heading home we stopped by NE Columbia and saw Big Daddy Papa and the rest of the family.

A few weekends later we made a trip to Atlanta so that Addison could meet her great grandmother.

We brought a couple changes of clothes for Addison, which came in handy.

We moved Addison into her crib this month after Prime Day.  We played it perfectly, getting a huge discount on an Amazon Cloud Cam and Echo Show for our bedroom.  The Cloud Cam can also be loaded by our Fire TV in the living room.  Our new favorite show is watching Addison talk to the quilt on her wall.

We can sometimes get Addison to nap in her crib, but by far she prefers a snuggle nap, either on Mommy’s chest or in Daddy’s arms.  We’re trying to find ways to stay productive while accommodating her.

This past month we’ve also been spending some time preparing for our planned trip to the beach the first week of August.

Addison is also becoming much more adept at hand eye coordination and grabbing.

Addison is also holding her own hands more often, which Amanda, in particular, thinks is just adorable.

Addison is now wearing Grovia cloth diapers during the day.

She’s very happy about her cloth diapers.

Addison has been having a great time on her playmat lately.

She is now rolling over regularly at will.

We’re getting more laughs and smiles out of Addison, Amanda is still holding out for an all out cackle.

We took her 4 month picture about a week early, due to a beach trip.

For some reason I drifted too far to the left… maybe we’ll try again when we get back from the beach.

Addison is too young for sunscreen, so we’re being super cautious and keeping her covered.

We’re staying on Harbor Island with the Luckie Grandparents and it is super chill.  We’ve discovered the Georgia schools are back in session this week, making it nice and quiet.

Amanda asked me to take a picture of the boardwalk over the dunes, my Dad was still walking down it so I figured we’d give Google and easy GIF opportunity.

Addison has been chillaxing in the kiddy pool.

Sometimes she’s been a bit too relaxed, the warm water, floating device, and gentle rocking had her falling asleep…

We couldn’t quite get her kicking or playing in the water.  But at least she wasn’t crying.

This was about as active as she ever got in the pool.

Hopefully before the week is done this little one will start kicking and playing in the water a bit more.
