More pictures and videos from our time at the beach.
Our last post left off just before Steven, Nichole, Avery, & Everett headed home from the beach. The kids brought a ton of fun and energy with them, but we were excited for a slightly quieter and more relaxed second phase of our beach stay.
We woke up to this view on our porch.
Addison had a great sleeping week, taking good quality naps and sleeping well at night.
We spent some nice time on the patio enjoying the ocean view and breeze…
We enjoyed some golf cart rides around the neighborhood… This GIF makes objects appear to be moving faster than they were.
And then we got a surprise visit by crazy Aunt Shannon!
Luckie family photogenicism.
Luckily, I have my beautiful ladies to drag all the attention paid to photos away from me.
While we couldn’t quite get Addison to enjoy the pool or beach during the day, we did have some pleasant walks at night. We were treated to a series of wonderful sunsets, during which we would attempt to amuse Addison just before taking a bunch of photos.
Impacts from recent storms have left some abandoned houses on the beach that are continually threatened by high tides. This was one of our last nights and the only time we saw the tide come up this high.
Also on one of our last nights, we were treated to an amazing lightning show. This large bolt was too bright to capture with any precise definition.
This should give you an idea of the frequency and intensity of the storm. Had the mosquitos not been out in force at night we could have stayed on the porch for hours and watched this.
