Once summer wrapped up, work intensified at Ryan’s construction site, Addison started eating , err, not eating solid foods well, we put our home on the market, football season started, and we started only watching TV on Ryan’s computer. All of this contributed to less time for blogging. So here is our catch up post on things that have happened since summer.
So in late summer, we saw a listing of a house we were interested in and put an offer in on it. The offer carried a contingency; to give the builder confidence we were serious we simultaneously listed our home on the market. Our offer was rejected and they went with another buyer, but this kicked off two months of showings and us looking at other houses.
This is the under construction home we first put a bid on.
We would also put a bid on this house before we gave up for the winter. We were pretty close to a deal with the owner on the price of this place, but didn’t get the offer we were looking for on our place and decided to punt and re-list in the spring time.
Addison has been obsessed with her own feet the past few months. I captured this gif while I was trying to get a video of her putting her own foot in her mouth.
Uncle Matt came up to visit one day and he, Amanda, and Addison went to the park.
We spent an evening at Denver Downs Pumpkin Patch with Amanda’s family.
We enjoyed the corn maze, hayride, Ryan discovered he weighed too much for a children’s zipline, and finished the night with some hot chocolate and apple cider.
We sold all our Clemson tickets this year, so it was a very pleasant surprise when we were invited to Fluor’s luxury box for the NC State Game.
We could get used to this.
Addison loved this balloon.
We were in Columbia for a family birthday party on a nice day this fall and got to go to South Carolina’s flagship zoo, Riverbanks!
The moderate fall weather didn’t last very long, but Amanda and Addison used what nice weather we had to take frequent trips to the park.
Our little daredevil loves the swings…
… just completely loves the swings.
Did we mention that Addison likes swings?
Addison grew out of her infant bath pretty quick. We thought she was going to break her foot from kicking so much and so hard in the plastic one. She has now transitioned to this softer inflatable duck bathtub.
Addison’s Bouncing Baby Class had a Halloween Party. Addison was Wonder Woman courtesy of a gift from Pat & Amy. Her friend Alasdair is the gnome grabbing her foot.
Addison is not a great eater and can generally be described as resistant to solid foods.
After weeks of delays while we waited for good weather, we were finally able to make it out to Chattooga Belle Farms for lunch, scenery, buying some of their salsa and jam, and some moonshine tasting.
We think we made it out for the perfect day.
Our nightly routine usually consists of a bath, a dance, reading this book, and then Addison and Mommy go into the nursery, turn off the lights, and have one last feeding.
Early December greeted us with a late autumn snow. We experienced no power outages and kept nice and cozy warm inside.
Addison is now known to scream in the middle of the night when she turns over and then falls right back to sleep.
Addison has been working on crawling for a while, without much forward movement. Here she is practicing while listening to Jesse Palmer.
… and then one day she just started doing this. Now we are keeping busy chasing her around the condo.
